On September 30, 2020, the professional association of translators and editors of subtitles “Eurasian Subtitlers’ League” will hold an online discussion with colleagues from the audiovisual translation industry. The main topics for discussion are the current state of the industry, issues of training translation personnel, and quality standards.
The purpose of organizing the discussion: defining problems, as well as formalizing internal rules and terminology of the industry of audiovisual translation in Russia. This will be the first panel discussion in a series of events aimed at uniting the efforts of the Russian professional community.
Leading experts and researchers of the Russian audiovisual translation industry have been invited to participate in the discussion. The round table will be held on the online platform on September 30, the discussion will start at 13:00 (Moscow time).
Eurasian Subtitlers’ League invites all its members to attend the discussion as listeners.
